Spokane, Wash. - The Spokane Indians are excited to announce that two team attendance records were broken during the 2017 season. The Indians welcomed 196,653 fans to Avista Stadium throughout 37 home games, breaking the overall attendance record of 193,865 set in 2014. Spokane also broke another all-time record by averaging 5,315 fans at each game, the highest total in the team's 115-year history.

"This is a credit to this community," said Spokane Indians Senior Vice President Otto Klein. "Between our fans, sponsors, and entire operation, we feel like we offer the best family entertainment in baseball. We can't thank our fans enough."

Avista Stadium packed in over 7,000 fans four times throughout the summer and over 6,000 fans on eight other occasions. A season-high 7,052 fans showed up on August 5th for one of seven Fireworks Nights during the season.

The Indians have been a model of consistency for over two decades, ranking in the top two in the NWL in total attendance for 21 consecutive seasons. Spokane's attendance ranks second in all of Short Season Class "A" Baseball for the 2017 season, just behind the Vancouver Canadians and ahead of the Brooklyn Cyclones. It's the second time in the last four years that the Indians have ranked in the top two for the entire classification.

The Indians were one of 14 teams in Minor League Baseball to set single-season franchise attendance records during the 2017 season. A total of 41,832,364 fans attended MiLB games this summer, which marks the fifth-highest attendance total since the organization started in 1901.
