Cardinals rained out in NW Arkansas on Thursday

Springdale, AR - Thursday night's scheduled game between with Springfield Cardinals and the Northwest Arkansas Naturals at Arvest Ballpark has been postponed due to inclement weather.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader scheduled for June 13 in Northwest Arkansas. The first of consecutive seven-inning games will begin at 5pm that day. This Friday's game in Northwest Arkansas is still scheduled for a 7:30pm First Pitch.

St. Louis Cardinals 1B/OF Matt Adams will join the Springfield Cardinals on a rehab assignment this Friday through Sunday.

Adams, 24, started the 2013 season in St. Louis and is hitting .542 (13-for-24) with three home runs and eight RBIs through eight games with the Cardinals. The Philipsburg, PA native spent the entire 2011 season with the Springfield Cardinals, compiling a .300 batting average with 32 home runs and 101 RBIs through 115 games en route to being named the 2011 Texas League Player of the Year.

Springfield returns home to begin an eight-game homestand this Saturday with a 6:09 p.m. First Pitch against the Tulsa Drillers.
