The game was scoreless through three innings, then Dunedin sent 14 batters to the plate in the rough fourth.
Despite hitting into the double play, the Blue Jays still managed to score five more times in the inning.
The Blue Jays scored two more runs in the fifth for an 11-0 lead.
The Mets offense ended up producing 14 hits and the next five runs.
Smith took the loss. He was tagged for three runs and four hits over three innings. O'Neil surrendered five hits and six runs in 0.2 innings.
Dunedin starter
Young went 3 for 5 with three RBI. Navarro, Orimoloye and Bec had two hits each.
The ballgame lasted three hours and 35 minutes. It was the longest game of the year for the Mets. Tuesday's one hour and 56 minute game was the shortest of the season.
