PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - The St. Lucie Mets will return to First Data Field on Monday to start a four-day home stand against the Daytona Tortugas.
Because of rainouts between the teams last month in Daytona, the Mets and Tortugas have to squeeze in six games over the four days. On Monday the teams will resume their suspended game from May 26 at 4 p.m. The Mets, who are still considered the road team, lead 5-3 in the middle of the fifth inning.
The game will be played through nine innings and another seven-inning game will commence 30 minutes later.
The teams will play a doubleheader on Tuesday at 4 p.m. to get the series back on track. Both games are slated for seven innings with a 30-minute break between the games.
The series will get return to normal with a single nine-inning game on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The series concludes with another nine-inning game on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Highlighting the home stand is Dollar Night on Thursday. On Monday kids get in for free and can pick up a free book upon entry courtesy of Children Services Council and St. Lucie Reads.
