However, Staten Island (2-3) picked up their second win of the season behind late inning drama and timely hitting.
In the bottom of the fifth, the Yankees broke the deadlock with four runs all stemming from Connecticut mistakes. The biggest being a dropped fly ball in right field that scored the first Yankee run.
However, Connecticut (2-4) would respond with three extra base hits in the top of the sixth to tie the game up at four heading into the bottom of the inning.
