SAN JOSE, Ca.- The Ports clubbed two home runs and collected 11 hits in a 10-5 win over the Giants in the third of a six game series on Thursday night, giving them back-to-back wins at Excite Ballpark in San Jose.

The Ports (27-42) jumped out to a two run lead in the top of the first inning. Lawrence Butler hit the first pitch of the game over San Jose right fielder Jairo Pomares' head for a double and came home to score two batters later when T.J. Schofield-Sam lined a single to right, making it 1-0. After Schofield-Sam was caught stealing second base, Jose Rivas doubled the Ports' lead with a solo home run to left center field to give Stockton a 2-0 lead.

The Ports extended their lead in the fifth with a four run frame. With Danny Bautista on first base after a one out walk, Robert Puason slammed his second home run of the season to left center field to double their lead to 4-0. Butler and Brayan Buelvas followed with back-to-back singles and Schofield-Sam was hit by a pitch to load the bases for Rivas who singled to right center field to score two runs, making it 6-0.

After the Giants (44-25) scored twice in the fifth to cut the Ports' lead to four, the Ports responded with three more in the top of the sixth to pad their lead. With one out, four straight walks scored a run, and with two outs Schofield-Sam hit a two-run single to right field to give Stockton a 9-2 lead.

San Jose scored once in the sixth and twice in the seventh, while the Ports added a run in their half of the seventh inning.

Trayson Kubo (2-2) got the win for Stockton, allowing two runs on four hits in three innings in relief of starter Grant Judkins. Giants starter Wil Jensen (4-1) took his first loss of the season, allowing six runs on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings.

Ed Baram picked up his second save of the season pitching the final four innings for the Ports allowing three runs on seven hits.

The Ports and Giants continue their six game series on Friday night at 6:30 pm at Excite Ballpark in San Jose.
