The Stockton Ports held their 13th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night on Saturday, August 10th at Banner Island Ballpark. "Pink Night" has now become a fan favorite game to attend among the Stockton Community.
The whole day was centered around having fun while raising money for St. Joseph's Medical Center, Breast Health Services. Pre-game ceremonies included a first pitch thrown by Cancer Survivor, Stephanie Ramirez, and the Ports first ever "Take a Swing at Cancer" event. Fans had the opportunity to take three of their strongest swings at the "Cancer Sucks" Mercedes, donated by 99 Auto Dismantlers, for a $5 donation to St. Joseph's Medical Center, Breast Health Services.
Ports players wore special pink jerseys designed for the night, which were available for auction during the game. The Ports community table held a raffle and silent auction featuring a pink team-signed base and various items donated by the community. Additionally, the Ports donated $1 from every ticket sold to the Pink Night game. All proceeds from the night benefited Dignity Health St. Joseph's Medical Center, Breast Health Services.
