PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (July 14, 2017) - With the game tied at three in the bottom of the ninth, Ryan Boldt slugged a walk-off home run to right to give the Charlotte Stone Crabs a 4-3 win over the Fort Myers Miracle at Charlotte Sports Park.

The home run came on the second pitch of the inning against Fort Myers (15-5, 48-40) reliever Alex Muren (0-2).

The Stone Crabs (9-10, 40-47) scored all four of their runs on home runs.

Trailing 3-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Charlotte shortstop Peter Maris doubled to left center to start the inning. After a Brandon Lowe walk, Brett Sullivan clubbed a three-run home run to right to tie the game at three.

Stone Crabs starter Eduar Lopez turned in a quality start, allowing three runs on four hits over six innings. He struck out seven batters, his highest total since August 8, 2013. Lopez allowed three runs in the first three innings, but finished his night with three shutout frames, retiring the final six batters he faced.

Former Major League All-Star Jonny Venters made his 2017 Stone Crabs debut, facing the minimum in a scoreless eighth inning. Venters is working back from four years worth of elbow injuries.

Dalton Moats (5-0) worked a perfect ninth inning for Charlotte to earn the win. The lefty has posted a 1.51 ERA over 41.2 innings of relief this season.

The Stone Crabs will head to Jupiter Saturday to begin a three-game series with the Hammerheads at 5:30 p.m. Travis Ott (3-1, 4.37) makes the start for Charlotte against Jeff Brigham (3-1, 2.60) of Jupiter. Coverage begins at 5:15 p.m. on the Stone Crabs Baseball Network.
