Fox, Lowe take home Rays' Minor League Awards

Fox named Baserunner of the Year, Lowe the Stone Crabs' MVP

Lucius Fox and Brandon Lowe were both honored with Rays' Minor League Awards in 2017.

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Charlotte Stone Crabs infielders Lucius Fox and Brandon Lowe were each honored with Rays' Minor League awards following the 2017 season. 

Fox was named the organization's Baserunner of the Year. The Nassau, Bahamas native stole 30 bases in 2017, ranking second in the Tampa Bay system. After hitting .278 over 77 games for Low-A Bowling Green, Fox was promoted to the Stone Crabs on July 25.

Lowe, meanwhile, was named the Stone Crabs' Team MVP. The Univ. of Maryland product set single-season franchise records in slugging percentage (.524) and OPS (.927), hitting .311 with nine home runs and 46 RBI over 90 games.
