Home Dates For 50th Season Announced

The Omaha Storm Chasers in conjunction with the Pacific Coast League have announced their home dates for the 2018 season, which will be the Omaha franchise's 50th year. The Storm Chasers are slated to begin the monumental campaign at Werner Park on Thursday, April 5, 2018 against the Colorado Springs

The Omaha Storm Chasers in conjunction with the Pacific Coast League have announced their home dates for the 2018 season, which will be the Omaha franchise's 50th year. The Storm Chasers are slated to begin the monumental campaign at Werner Park on Thursday, April 5, 2018 against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox.

The Storm Chasers are scheduled to play at Werner Park on the following dates:

  • April: 5-9, 17-23
  • May: 4-11, 21-29
  • June: 5-11, 21-24, 29-30
  • July: 1-3, 12-15, 20-22
  • August: 1-7, 13-16, 24-30

The Omaha franchise's 50th season currently features 11 Hy-Vee Friday Fireworks dates, as well as the 50th annual Independence Fireworks Spectacular on Tuesday, July 3. The schedule is also highlighted by nine Thirsty Thursday dates, ten Family FUNday Sundays and six Wiener Wednesdays.
The Storm Chasers are scheduled to face off against their Pacific Coast League American Northern Division rivals on the following dates:
  • Colorado Springs Sky Sox: April 5-9, August 28-30
  • Iowa Cubs: May 8-11, August 24-27
  • Oklahoma City Dodgers: June 21-24, August 13-16

The Omaha franchise will be making a special announcement regarding the 2018 season on Thursday, August 10. Promotions and giveaways for the 2018 campaign will be revealed on a later date.

The Storm Chasers return to Werner Park to begin an eight-game homestand on Friday, August 11, facing the Iowa Cubs, the Triple-A affiliate of the 2016 World Series champion Chicago Cubs, for the first four contests. First pitch of the series opener is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CT.
