ROUND ROCK - Andres Machado and Eric Stout held Round Rock to only 2 hits, but the Storm Chasers were held in check offensively in a 2-1 defeat to the Express on Tuesday night at Dell Diamond.

Willie Calhoun put Round Rock ahead in the bottom of the 1st with a solo homer to right field. It was his 29th of the season.
The Express doubled their lead in the bottom of the 3rd. Preston Beck walked, advanced to 2nd on a groundout, and scored on a 2-out single by Doug Bernier, making it 2-0 Round Rock.
Omaha pulled a run back in the top of the 6th. Dean Anna and Paulo Orlando registered back-to-back 1-out singles, and after Anna advanced to 3rd on a fielder's choice, he scored on a wild pitch, cutting the deficit to 2-1.
Andres Machado (L, 1-2) was dominant in his 6.2 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on only 2 hits, while walking only 1 and striking out a season-high 10.
Machado suffered a tough-luck loss, however, as Clayton Blackburn (W, 6-2) allowed only 1 run and 4 hits over 6 innings. He struck out 4 and walked 1.
Tyler Wagner, Tayler Scott, and Jimmy Reyes combined to hold Omaha off the board in the 7th and 8th innings. Eric Stout recorded the final out of the 7th, and also worked a hitless 8th for the Chasers, keeping them within a run.
But despite holding the Express to 2 total hits on the night and retiring the final 16 batters they faced, the Chasers couldn't muster enough offense to reward their strong pitching effort. Tanner Scheppers (S, 3) pitched the 9th for the save, giving Round Rock victory in the game and the series.
After an off-day on Wednesday, the Storm Chasers will their road trip on Thursday in Oklahoma City. Omaha's starter is to be determined, while RHP Justin Masterson (10-6, 4.36) will pitch for the Dodgers. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05.
