"O'pen House" Kicks Off 2013 Season
OMAHA, Neb. - With the 45th season in franchise history exactly one month away, the Omaha Storm Chasers are proud to announce their annual Open House Event that officially kicks off the 2013 season on Saturday, March 16. This St. Patrick's Day themed "O'pen House" will be free to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will feature a revamped Storm Front Team Store and the opportunity to name and taste the new Storm Chasers beer.
"This year's St. Patrick's Day themed O'pen House is the first of many events at Werner Park that will make the 45th season one to remember," said Martie Cordaro, President and General Manager of the Storm Chasers. "Fans should not miss their opportunity to purchase season tickets and new merchandise from the redesigned Storm Front Team Store while tasting our soon-to-be-named Storm Chasers beer."
All Storm Chasers ticket packages will be available for purchase, and any fan in attendance will have the opportunity to "Select Their Seat." It will also be the last chance for Chasers fans to take advantage of the "Spring Training Fever" nine-game and 24-game ticket packages. Both feature a 20 percent discount off the normal price of similar packages.
The O'pen House will be the first chance for fans to purchase their new Storm Chasers items for the upcoming season. The redesigned Storm Front Team Store's new look allows it to hold more than five times the merchandise and every fan in attendance will have the chance to "Spin for Green" to win store discounts as well as free prizes. Featured that day will be a limited edition green "SC Shamrock" t-shirt.
In 2013 Werner Park will welcome an original Storm Chasers beer crafted by the Nebraska Brewing Company. Prior to the O'pen House from March 4 through March 14, fans 21 and older are encouraged to help name this beer. All beer names should be submitted to [email protected]. Anyone of legal age at the event can vote for their favorite name among the top five received by the Storm Chasers while enjoying the first taste of this new beer.
Scheduled just a day before St. Patrick's Day, food and drink will follow the holiday theme as corned beef and cabbage with potatoes, turnips and carrots will be available for $5 per plate. Entrees and refreshments will be available in the main concourse behind home plate, which will also give fans a taste of the new outdoor table games that will be added to the Budweiser Downdraught Bar during the upcoming season.
By selecting their Werner Park seat and purchasing their new Storm Chasers gear at the O'pen House, fans will be completely set for the 2013 home opener on Friday, April 12 where the name for the Storm Chasers beer is revealed.
