MEMPHIS - Eric Skoglund pitched 7 strong innings, but the Storm Chasers dropped another razor-thin decision in Memphis, falling 3-2 in 13 innings on Thursday night at AutoZone Park.

Omaha scored first in the top of the 2nd. Ryan O'Hearn doubled, Logan Moon singled, and Garin Cecchini grounded into a double play, allowing O'Hearn to score for a 1-0 lead.
Steven Piscotty led off the bottom of the 2nd with a solo homer, however, immediately tying the score at 1.
Memphis took the lead in the bottom of the 4th. After the first 2 batters were retired, Harrison Bader singled, stole 2nd, and scored on an RBI single by Aledmys Díaz, giving the Redbirds a 2-1 advantage.
Omaha tied it in the top of the 7th; with 2 out, Garin Cecchini singled, and Corey Toups doubled him home to make it 2-2.
Memphis starter Dakota Hudson worked 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs, 6 hits, and 1 walk, with 5 strikeouts.
Eric Skoglund was even better, pitching through the 7th inning. He was charged with 2 runs on only 4 hits, with 9 strikeouts and 1 walk.
Sam Selman kept the game tied in the 8th, and did the same in the bottom of the 9th, sending Omaha and Memphis to extra innings for a 2nd consecutive night. Selman then completed an outstanding relief outing with a scoreless 10th inning as well.
Memphis' bullpen refused to blink, however. Arturo Reyes, Ryan Sherriff, and Miguel Socolovich combined to keep Omaha off the board from innings 8-12.
Seth Maness worked a scoreless bottom of the 11th, and negotiated around a leadoff double in the 12th to keep Omaha in it.
Josh Zeid (W, 8-2) tossed the top of the 13th, and in the bottom half, Memphis finally rallied for the game-winner against Maness (L, 1-1). Wilfredo Tovar singled, went to 3rd on a single by Alberto Rosario, and scored on a single by Breyvic Valera. The Redbirds improved to an incredible 10-0 in extra-inning games on the season.
The Storm Chasers return to Werner Park tomorrow to begin an 8-day, 9-game homestand (their penultimate homestand of the season). The Iowa Cubs will visit for the I-80 Rivalry, with RHP Eddie Butler (2-0, 2.17) scheduled to throw the Cubs. Omaha's starter is to be determined. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05, with a post-game concert featuring Steve Moakler to follow.
