Lake Elsinore Returns to The Diamond

The Storm return home for a three-game series

LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. - The Storm return to The Diamond for a quick three-game series this weekend against Colorado Rockies affiliate, the Lancaster JetHawks. The series begins on Friday, April 21 at 7pm with post-game fireworks closing out the night.

Right-handed pitcher Pedro Avila is slated to take the mound for the Storm, not yet having factored into a decision in either of his first two starts. Avila has collected nine strikeouts in 7.2 innings pitched.

The second game of the series is scheduled for Saturday, April 22 at 6pm. Saturday will mark the second Signature Saturday of the season, with players signing autographs on the concourse prior to game time. Right-hander Jean Cosme is scheduled to take the ball for the Storm on Saturday night.

The final game of the home stand will be on Sunday, April 23 at 1pm. The Storm offer 4 free tickets for every military I.D. shown at the ticket window in honor of Salute to Soldiers Sunday Funday. Kids 12 and under are welcome to run the bases following the game.

Southpaw Eric Lauer will take the mound for Lake Elsinore on Sunday, coming off a quality start on the road against Inland Empire. The Kent State product has already tallied 13 strikeouts in 9.2 innings of work.

Look for first baseman Josh Naylor to continue slugging, having hit home runs on back-to-back days earlier in the week. He is tied for third in the California League with 10 RBIs.

Catcher Austin Allen is tied for the league lead with five doubles, while second baseman Chris Baker is tied for third in the league in triples with two.
