(SUGAR LAND, Texas)Scott Manea came into Saturday’s game hitting .417 against the Tacoma Rainiers through 11 games this season.

He continued his tear against Tacoma in a 9-8 win for the Sugar Land Space Cowboys at Constellation Field, going 3-for-3 with a double, walk and two RBI.

The Space Cowboys scored a pair of key insurance runs in the eighth when Manea came across to score on a double play and Korey Lee supplied an RBI single. Lee, who is rated as the Houston Astros No. 2 prospect, per MLBPipeline, finished the night 3-for-5 with three RBI.

Manea’s offensive output backed Space Cowboys starter Peter Solomon, who struck out six batters across a season-high six innings of work.

Nick Hernandez and Enoli Paredes tossed scoreless innings of relief, each striking out two batters. Paredes has logged a 0.93 ERA on the season, which is the lowest of Triple A pitchers with at least 25 innings.

The Space Cowboys plated four runs in the second and would not trail for the remainder of the night. Manea produced a ground-rule double that inning to go with a two-run single from Lee.

Pedro León drove in a run with a ground out in the third and the Space Cowboys tacked on pair in the fourth on an RBI single from Alex De Goti and sacrifice fly from Yainer Diaz.

Lewis Brinson helped spark the offense, going 3-for-3 with a run scored. Taylor Jones finished the night 1-for-4 with a double and a run.

The Space Cowboys and Rainiers close out their series at 6:05 p.m. on Sunday at Constellation Field. Sugar Land is scheduled to start Chad Donato, with Tacoma slated to send righty Darren McCaughan to the mound.
