Skeeters Fall in Second Straight at OKC 10-1

(OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma) – The Sugar Land Skeeters fell for the second straight night to begin their road trip Friday night with a 10-1 loss to the Oklahoma City Dodgers. Dodgers designated hitter Rangel Ravelo drove in six runs, including a grand slam in the fourth inning. Catcher Keibert Ruiz

(OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma) – The Sugar Land Skeeters fell for the second straight night to begin their road trip Friday night with a 10-1 loss to the Oklahoma City Dodgers.

Dodgers designated hitter Rangel Ravelo drove in six runs, including a grand slam in the fourth inning. Catcher Keibert Ruiz also homered and collected a pair of RBIs.

Right-hander Jojanse Torres got the start and was handed the losing decision, allowing five runs on five hits through three innings. Seth Martinez surrendered three runs through an inning of relief. Lefty Kit Scheetz allowed two runs through one inning.

Abraham Toro drove in the Skeeters’ only run of the night on in the fourth inning a double down the right-field line to score Ronnie Dawson. Toro has gone 6-for-15 (.400) with three RBIs over his last five games.

The Skeeters and Dodgers will play again at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Triple A West May Pitcher of the Month Brett Conine will start for the Skeeters and will face Oklahoma City right-hander Austin Bibens-Dirkx.
