2014 Schedule and Ticket Plans

Chiefs announce schedule and revamped ticket plans

Syracuse, NY-The Syracuse Chiefs, Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, are pleased to announce the team's 2014 regular season game schedule complete with the dates of eight post-game fireworks shows. In addition, the Chiefs have announced details about the team's revamped season ticket plans.

The Chiefs will once again play a 144-game International League slate with 72 games at NBT Bank Stadium and 72 on the road against the IL's 13 other teams. The Chiefs will face each of the five other IL North teams 16 times each (8 home, 8 road) and the four teams from the West and South divisions 8 times each (4 home, 4 road).

Opening Day 2014 is scheduled for Thursday, April 3 at 2:00pm against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (NY Yankees affiliate) at NBT Bank Stadium. The Chiefs are also scheduled to conclude the regular season at home on Monday, September 1 against the Buffalo Bisons at 2:00pm. Other highlights of the schedule include games on Father's Day (June 15) and Independence Day (July 4), plus the annual Education Day game scheduled for Tuesday, June 10 at 10:30am.

Spectacular fireworks shows will follow every Friday home game from June 27 through the end of the season (June 27, July 4, July 25, August 8, and August 22) and there will be special holiday shows for Memorial Day weekend (Sunday, May 25), Independence Day weekend (Saturday, July 5), and Labor Day weekend (Sunday, August 31).

As part of its new commitment to keep Triple-A baseball fun and affordable family entertainment, the Syracuse Chiefs Baseball Club has lowered its ticket prices for the 2014 season. General Admission prices will decrease by $3 per ticket for adults and all members of the military will receive FREE General Admission to the ballpark. 

Jason Smorol, the Chiefs' new General Manager, has made it his mission to make sure that fans who visit NBT Bank Stadium next season get their money's worth. "The Syracuse Chiefs said we are going to listen to our fans, the Chiefs have said we believe in affordable family entertainment, we think this is a positive first step in reaching our goals for the new Syracuse Chiefs."

Here are the complete details of the changes:

  • All General Admission tickets are now $5 for adults, $4 for children and seniors . . . and FREE for members of the military. (Previously, General Admission seats were $8 for adults and military. Children & seniors remain the same at $4.)

  • All Military General Admission tickets are now FREE. (There was no prior discount for the military.)

  • The Home Plate Club exclusive seating area has been expanded and renamed "Premium Field Box Seating." Food & beverage service previously offered only to Home Plate Club members is now offered to everyone within Premium Field Box Seating. Pricing for the new Premium Field Box area is: Adults $12, Children and Seniors $10, and discounted tickets for active and retired members of the military. Military tickets in the Premium Field Box seats are $10. (The 2013 Home Plate Club cost was $20 for adults, children and seniors and $14 for most of the other 100 level seats.)

  • The Reserved seating area has been renamed "Box Seat Reserved." Adult tickets are now $10 (previously $12); Children, Seniors and Military are now $8 (previously $9 for children and $12 for seniors).

Season Ticket Packages have also been revamped to add extra value while maintaining the same pricing as last year. The Syracuse Chiefs are also starting a Season Ticket Sales Blitz at the Centerstate Business Showcase.
