April 8, 2014

Syracuse, NY - The Chiefs are pleased to announce that former All-Star Yankees center fielder and Latin Grammy-nominated guitarist Bernie Williams will be appearing at NBT Bank Stadium on Father's Day, Sunday, June 15th. Williams will play the national anthem and is scheduled to sign autographs at the stadium before and during the Chiefs' 2:00 PM game vs. the Norfolk Tides. Proceeds from the stadium will go to local charities.

"We are so proud to be able to bring Bernie Williams to the fans of the Chiefs", said general manager Jason Smorol. "Our fans wanted more contemporary baseball stars and our first we are able to deliver is the great Bernie Williams."

After the Chiefs' Sunday game, Williams and his All-Star Band will be playing a concert at the historic Landmark Theatre in Syracuse, presented by Tom Honan & Live Space Entertainment. The show will begin at the Landmark Theatre at 8:00 PM.

June 15th is a Family Sunday, where kids 12 and under are free and can run the bases after the game. That day doubles as Father's Day, where fathers are encouraged to play catch on the field after the game with their sons and daughters.
