Crismatt to Make First Start on Saturday Since Rejoining Rainiers

The Tacoma Rainiers (48-51) will look to even their three-game series against the Sacramento River Cats (52-47) on Silver Bullet Saturday, presented by Coors Light. The Rainiers will roll out right-hander Nabil Crismatt (0-1, 8.47) to face Sacramento right-hander Dereck Rodríguez (1-0, 4.63) for a 7:05 p.m. PDT start at Cheney Stadium.

Infielder Tim Lopes launched his first career grand slam, helping Tacoma nearly close a seven-run deficit, but the Rainiers left the potential tying run in the bottom of the ninth as they fell to Sacramento on Friday, 8-6. The second baseman went 2-for-4 and accounted for all five Tacoma RBI in the effort. Southpaw Sean Nolin made the start for the Rainiers and surrendered seven runs across the first four frames, taking his first loss with Tacoma.
Darin Gillies took over on the mound with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth and rolled into a double play, allowing only one inherited runner to score. Major League rehabber, Brandon Brennon tossed a scoreless seventh and right-hander Reggie McClain went six-up, six-down in the final two innings and needed only 23 pitched to strike out five batters.
