TACOMA, Wash. - The Tacoma Rainiers (50-44) dropped their series finale to the Fresno Grizzlies (54-39) by a final score of 5-3 on Sunday afternoon at Cheney Stadium.First baseman Daniel Vogelbach (1x3, R, 2 BB), center fielder Andrew Aplin (1x4, R, BB), and third baseman Seth Mejias-Brean (1x3, RBI, BB)

TACOMA, Wash. - The Tacoma Rainiers (50-44) dropped their series finale to the Fresno Grizzlies (54-39) by a final score of 5-3 on Sunday afternoon at Cheney Stadium.
First baseman Daniel Vogelbach (1x3, R, 2 BB), center fielder Andrew Aplin (1x4, R, BB), and third baseman Seth Mejias-Brean (1x3, RBI, BB) all reached base multiple times. Shortstop Zach Vincej drove in a pair of runs for his 10th multi-RBI game of the season.

Rainiers spot starter Darren McCaughan - up from Advanced-A Modesto - worked four innings and allowed four runs on six hits. He walked six, struck out five, and took the loss.
Nick Rumbelow (2.0 IP), Tyler Higgins (2.1 IP), and Daniel Schlereth (0.1 IP) all posted scoreless outings from the Tacoma bullpen. The group struck out five, issued no walks, and allowed just two hits. Dario Álvarez (0.1 IP) also made a brief appearance, allowing one run on one hit.
Tacoma hits the road to begin a four game series at the Reno Aces on Monday night at 7:05 p.m. PT. The Rainiers have not yet named a starting pitcher, and will be facing Aces right-hander Taylor Clarke (8-7, 4.86).
