Tacoma center fielder Ian Miller (2x3, 3 R, 3 BB, SB), catcher Mike Marjama (1x5, R, 2 RBI, BB, HR) and designated hitter Daniel Vogelbach (3x5, R, 3 RBI, BB, 2B) led the way for the Rainiers on offense during the loss.u1:p

Tacoma starter Christian Bergman allowed five runs across 6.2 innings while striking out six Bees hitters and walking just two.u1:p
Vogelbach opened scoring in the bottom half of the first with an RBI double to right field to score Miller and right fielder John Andreoli and give Tacoma a 2-0 lead.u1:p
The Rainiers extended their lead to 5-1 by the bottom of the fifth, but Jose Miguel Fernandez launched a three-run homer in the sixth and a pair of RBI singles gave the Bees a 7-5 lead in the seventh.u1:p
Marjama smacked a homer to left-center in the seventh but Salt Lake answered with a solo shot of its own to make it 8-7 in favor of the Bees.u1:p
Left fielder Jayson Werth's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth helped force extra innings but Salt Lake netted a pair of runs in the 11th to capture the victory.u1:p
Rainiers reliever Ryan Garton tossed a scoreless inning during and stuck out Eric Young Jr. his fifth appearance of the season for Tacoma.u1:p
The Rainiers and Bees return to action Friday night at 7:05 p.m. for game three of the current five-game series. Left-hander Jose Suarez (0-0, 2.25) will get the start for Salt Lake and Tacoma has yet to name a starter.u1:p
