Tampa, Fla. -- Seven Tampa Tarpons are among those players listed by the Florida State League on Friday as 2018 Mid-Season All-Stars. The 57th FSL All-Star Game will be hosted by the Tarpons at George M. Steinbrenner Field on Saturday, June 16th, at 6:30 p.m.

Four of the seven named Tarpons that have already been promoted to Double-A Trenton and will be replaced at a later date:

RHP Trevor Stephan made just seven starts with Tampa, going 3-1 with a 1.98 ERA. Stephan paced the FSL with 49 strikeouts while also leading the league with a .160 opponent batting average and a WHIP of 0.78. A year removed from pitching for the University of Arkansas, New York's third-round draft pick in 2017 is already pitching in Double-A.

RHP Michael King also impressed in seven starts with the Tarpons, posting a league-best 1.79 ERA at the time of his promotion. The 23-year-old tallied a career-high 11 strikeouts over a scoreless 6.2IP in a win vs. Fort Myers on 5/3 and followed that up by shutting out Daytona for a career-best 8.2IP on 5/9. King was originally drafted by the Marlins out of Boston College in the 12th round in 2016 before getting traded to the Yankees last November.

RHP David Sosebee ranked among the top relievers in the FSL prior to his promotion, logging a record of 4-2 with five saves and a 0.72 ERA. The 24-year-old allowed just two earned runs in 25 innings, holding opponents to a .133 average while tallying 30 punch outs. A 28th-round draft pick out of the University of Georgia in 2015, Sosebee also allowed the fewest baserunners-per-9.0IP in the league at 6.84.

C Francisco Diaz batted just .213 (13-for-61) in 21 games with Tampa, but drew 13 walks and logged an on-base percentage of .368. The 28-year-old veteran advanced to Trenton on May 22nd. This is the first All-Star selection for Diaz since first signing with the Phillies in 2006.

RHP Nick Green , LHP Trevor Lane and INF Diego Castillo are among the All-Stars that remain on the Tampa roster.

Green currently ranks third in the league with a 2.60 ERA. The 23-year-old has made quality starts in six of his nine outings with the Tarpons, going 4-2 along the way. Originally drafted by the Rangers in the seventh round out of Indian Hills Community College (Iowa) in 2014, Green was included in the package sent to the Yankees in exchange for Carlos Beltran and cash in 2016.

Lane is 1-0 with two saves and a 1.96 ERA in 13 relief outings with Tampa and even made three Double-A appearances in a brief stint with Trenton. The 24-year-old currently ranks fifth in the FSL with a strikeout-per-9.0IP ratio of 12.13. A 10th round pick out of the University of Illinois-Chicago in 2016, Lane has walked just five batters while striking out 31 in 23 innings.

Castillo currently ranks as the second-toughest batter in the league to strike out, averaging just one every 9.50 plate appearances. After a slow start, the 20-year-old raised his batting average to .247 through 46 games by hitting .298 in May. Signed as a non-drafted free agent in 2014, Castillo is ranked by Baseball America as the No. 27 prospect in the Yankees farm system.

FSL All-Star Weekend will kick-off with the Home Run Derby on Friday, June 15th, at 6:30 p.m. Participants will be announced at a later date. Tickets for both the Home Run Derby and the All-Star Game are currently available on
