The Tampa Tarpons will host Baseball in Tampa Night on Saturday, August 24th at George M. Steinbrenner Field, presented by Extended Stay America. The Tarpons will face the Lakeland Flying Tigers, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Gates will open at 5:15 p.m. (5:00 p.m. for season-ticket holders and flex plan holders) and the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a Wade Boggs bobblehead, portraying Boggs in a Plant High School uniform - his high school alma mater. The Hall of Famer will also be in attendance to throw out the honorary first pitch.
Prior to the game, kids can run the bases from 5:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Select Tarpons players will sign autographs on the concourse from 5:40 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
In addition, a Kids Zone will be set up on the concourse, including a dunk tank, face painter and speed pitch challenge.
After the game, fans are invited to stick around for a fireworks extravaganza.
Tickets may be purchased online at www.tarponsbaseball.com, at the George M. Steinbrenner Field Box Office. Tickets start at $5 for upper reserved seating, $8 for lower reserved seating, and parking is always free.
