Smokies to Feature Theme Nights, Giveaways, Appearances, Fireworks and More for 2018

The team also announced that individual game tickets will go on sale on March 14 on all platforms offered by the Smokies. SEVIERVILLE - The Tennessee Smokies have announced their 2018 promotional schedule for the upcoming season. The team also announced that individual game tickets will go on sale on March 14 on all platforms offered by the Smokies. The promotional schedule includes 17 firework shows throughout the season, theme nights, and several giveaway nights for fans to enjoy throughout the 2018 season.
The firework shows will be featured on Friday's and Saturday's in the Summer Firework Series presented by Coors Light and Pepsi. The Summer Firework Series will send fireworks into the sky every Friday and Saturday beginning May 18 until July 28. In addition to the Summer Firework Series, the Smokies will also have additional Firework Shows on July 1, July 3 for an Independence Day celebration, August 11, and August 31.
America's Friendliest Ballpark will be the home of many unique giveaways throughout the 2018 season, as the first 1,000 fans (unless otherwise stated) through the gates will receive items on various home dates. The giveaway items featured for the upcoming season include bobbleheads featuring former Smokies greats Ben Zobrist (May 20) presented by Pepsi, Tony La Russa (June 10) presented by U.S. Cellular, Kyle Hendricks (July 15) presented by Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, and Roy Halladay (August 19) presented by Senior Benefit Inc. Former University of Tennessee great Inky Johnson (August 11) presented by Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union will also be featured as a bobblehead giveaway.
In addition, other giveaways for the 2018 season include Magnet Schedules (April 13 and April 14) presented by Pilot Food Marts and NexGard, Dog Toys (first 250 dogs) (May 6) presented by Big Dog Sportswear, Light Sabers (May 19), Grill Sets (first 250 fathers) (June 17) presented by Bush's Beans, Backpacks (first 500 kids) (July 28) presented by Hampton Inn and Suites, T-Shirts (July 29) presented by U.S. Cellular, Neck Pillows (August 12) presented by Hampton Inn and Suites, and Fan Appreciation Meals (first 2,000 fans) (September 3) presented by Toyota Knoxville.
Fans will be able to enjoy many different theme nights throughout the course of the 2018 season. Some of the top theme nights on the agenda for this season include Touch-A-Truck Night (April 22) presented by Crave Golf Club, Rafting in the Smokies, and TopJump Trampoline & Extreme Arena, Human Cannonball Night (May 5) featuring David "The Bullet" Smith Jr., Dog Day (May 6) presented by Big Dog Sportswear, Star Wars Night (May 19) benefiting United Way of Greater Knoxville and United Way of Sevier County, Margaritaville Night (June 16) presented by Advance Auto Parts with special jerseys benefiting Alzheimer's Tennessee, Community Heroes Night (July 1) presented by Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union, 90's Night (July 14) presented by Nothing Too Fancy where players will wear themed jerseys which will benefit Donate Life Tennessee, Kids Takeover Night (July 28) presented by Baby+Co. featuring an appearance from Peppa Pig, and UT Night (August 11) featuring University of Tennessee themed jerseys benefiting The Pat Summitt Foundation. The Smokies will also host 50 Cent Hot Dog Night (July 12) presented by Advance Auto Parts.
The team will also bring fans weekly promotional specials with Dollar Dog Night's presented by Toyota Knoxville on Monday's, Taco Tuesday's featuring $2 tacos, Mrs. Grissom's Salads All-You-Can-Eat Wednesday's, Coors Light Thirsty Thursday's, and U.S. Cellular Family FUNdays on Sunday's. Pilot Prize Nights will be returning in 2018 as everyone who enters the gate on Tuesday and Thursday night home games will win a prize.
The Smokies will be introducing Tri-Star Fridays, where the team will wear special Tri-Star hats and jerseys on each Friday home game throughout the 2018 season. The team will sport a special jersey and hat combination during the first half of the season that will be auctioned off to benefit Remote Area Medical, and another unique jersey and hat combination throughout the second half of the season to be auctioned off to benefit the National Wild Turkey Federation.
