Episode 24:

Three Strikes (starts at 3:45):

A.J. Reed interview (18:30)

  • The Astros' No. 5 prospect led the Minors with 34 homers, 127 RBIs, a .612 slugging percentage and and a 1.044 OPS during a big breakout season at Class A Advanced Lancaster and Double-A Corpus Christi. Reed joins the podcast to talk about whether he beat his own expectations for his first full season, how he was able to handle the jump to Double-A with ease, why the Astros have succeeded with prospects and, as a former University of Kentucky pitcher, which 2015 opponent he would have most likely wanted to pitch against.

Ben's Biz Banter (31:45)

  • MiLB.com's Benjamin Hill joins the show for his weekly segment and brings with him a story on one of the more colorful characters he's met on his travels, Lowell's famous Dogman. Ben also talks with Tyler and Sam about how Triple-A Columbus has offered its fans free playoff tickets and what Triple-A Fresno is doing to bring its regular-season promotional success to the postseason.
