Annual Community Grants Support 8 Non-Profits

(TRENTON, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder Minor League Baseball team announced today that it has awarded grants to eight locally based non-profit organizations through the 2013 Trenton Thunder Charities Community Grant Program.

This year, all eight organizations received grants in the full amount that was requested on their application. With its second year now complete, the Trenton Thunder Charities Community Grant Program has awarded $24,150 to charities in our region. The Trenton Thunder has donated over $5.1 million in goods, services and monetary donations to community organizations in its 20 year history.  
The following organizations are receiving grants through the 2013 Community Grant Program:

Progressive Center for Independent Living, Inc Building Social Capital Among Young Adults with Disabilities $2,000

Eden Autism Services Green Thumbs Garden Program $1,000
YWCA Princeton Bilingual Nursery School Program $1,000
Womanspace Inc The Children's Therapy Program  $650
Hope Loves Company HLC Kid's Day $500

TOTAL = $12,150

Trenton Thunder Charities grants are awarded annually with the goal to support organizations that enhance the educational opportunities and quality of life for children as well as programs that support the betterment of the local community in general.
