Chance Adams Named Eastern League Pitcher of the Week

The Thunder and Eastern League announced this morning that RHP Chance Adams  has been named the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 6 - April 16. 

Adams went 2-0 with a 0.79 ERA in his first two starts of the season, striking out 13 batters in 11.1 innings pitched. Adams delivered 9.2 innings of no-hit baseball to start his campaign across his starts against the Erie SeaWolves and Portland Sea Dogs.

It marks the second such award for Adams; he was named the Florida State League's Pitcher of the Week for the week ending June 12, 2016. Identified as the #8 prospect in the New York Yankees system according to Baseball America, Adams' next start is expected to be on Wednesday, April 19 against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.

The Thunder continue their homestand tonight against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at 7pm.
