The Norfolk Tides today announced that the 2017 LEGO Play Ball Tour will visit Harbor Park during the weekend of August 18-20. Families can arrive early for playtime before enjoying "The National Pastime." Participation in the LEGO Play Ball Tour is included with game admission to any of Norfolk's three games that weekend vs. the Toledo Mud Hens.
The LEGO Play Ball Tour provides an interactive opportunity for kids to have fun before Tides games begin. Activities on the LEGO Play Ball Tour include building tables for creative play, family challenges, photo opportunities with life-size LEGO models, and a chance to build and launch your own LEGO creations down a race ramp. In addition, there will be giveaways, prizes, and special in-game LEGO content.
"We're really excited to be a part of LEGO's nationwide tour" said Tides General Manager Joe Gregory. "This will be an entertaining experience for fans of all ages, and we're thrilled to add this event to our 2017 promotional schedule."
Baseball meets bricks with the LEGO Play Ball Tour, with gates opening 65 minutes prior to game time. LEGO Play Ball Tour activities will take place throughout each of the following games:
Friday, August 18 vs. Toledo - 7:05 pm
Saturday, August 19 vs. Toledo - 7:05 pm
Sunday, August 20 vs. Toledo - 4:05 pm
Vince Rubino, Event Marketing Manager for LEGO Systems, Inc. states, "The opportunity for families to enjoy both the affordable fun of a ball game and a free LEGO creativity experience is a total home run. We are excited to bring this new way to play to stadiums across the country."
Tickets for the individual games begin at just $10 for children and include all LEGO Play Ball Tour activities at no extra charge. Individual game tickets can be purchased at the Harbor Park box office or online at NorfolkTides.com.
