Tides announce 2017 schedule and home game times

2017 home opener slated for April 10th

The Norfolk Tides have announced their 2017 schedule and home game times. The 2017 campaign will begin on Thursday, April 6 with a road contest against the Charlotte Knights. Norfolk will open the home portion of its schedule on Monday, April 10 with a 6:35 contest against the Gwinnett Braves.

The 2017 season will be Norfolk's 49th in the International League and will feature the 25th year of baseball at Harbor Park. The schedule features 33 games on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday, as well as seven midweek afternoon contests. The final five Sundays of the season will feature a new start time of 4:05 pm. There are 12 postgame fireworks celebrations scheduled, with additional gameday promotions and events to be announced throughout the offseason.

Norfolk will play a 142-game schedule, featuring 71 home games and 71 road contests. The regular season will conclude with a road contest at Charlotte on Monday, September 4.
