Tides to celebrate 25th season at Harbor Park

2017 to feature promotions highlighting history of Harbor Park
December 14, 2016

The Norfolk Tides today introduced a commemorative logo in honor of the 25th season of Harbor Park, and the team announced that the 2017 season will feature several promotions celebrating the 25th year of baseball in downtown Norfolk.

"It's hard to believe that 2017 will be the 25th year of baseball at Harbor Park" said Tides General Manager Joe Gregory. "We're looking forward to celebrating some of the great experiences this stadium has brought us, while at the same time creating lasting memories that fans will remember for years to come."

In January, the Tides will be inviting fans to vote on an All Harbor Park Team, featuring the best players and performances by those who have donned a Norfolk uniform since 1993. Fans will have the opportunity to vote for players and managers on a position-by-position basis on the Tides Facebook page.

On Saturday, April 15th, the Tides will celebrate 1993 throughout the game with trivia and prizes, and the season's first fireworks show will follow that night's contest. Later in the season, as part of the annual Christmas in July promotion, fans at the July 14th game will receive a Harbor Park snow globe, courtesy of John's Tax Service. There will also be several other 25th year-themed promotions and giveaways throughout the season.

The Tides will play their first game of 2017 at Harbor Park on Friday, March 31st in an Exhibition Game against the Baltimore Orioles. Norfolk will then open its regular season on Thursday, April 6th with a 7:05 contest at Charlotte, before kicking off the home portion of its schedule on Monday, April 10th with a 6:35 game vs. Gwinnett.

Season Tickets, group tickets, picnics and patios are currently available for the 2017 season. For pricing and additional information, visit the Harbor Park box office or call (757) 622-2222.
