Mehring Monday: The Sound of Music

March 18, 2013

The most popular post on Rattler Radio at the beginning of a season always seems to be the one that lists the intro music for the Timber Rattlers players as they make their way to the plate at Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium.  Maybe it's because of all the Google searches for jason rogers walkup song.

But, the players won't be in town for two more weeks and that post probably won't be ready to go until the end of that week.  So, to practice for that post and to let you meet some of the people in the Timber Rattlers front office, I am turning the final Mehring Monday of the offseason over the front office personnel who answered the following question: What song would you choose as your walkup song?

Dayna Baitinger, Director of Community Relations:  Spice Up Your Life, Spice Girls …not really sure why, just seems like a good walk-up song!

Hilary Bauer, Marketing Coordinator: I'll put Cruise by Florida Georgia Line down for my song!

Ryan Cunniff, Corporate Marketing Manager: I would go with: It's a great day to be alive by Travis Tritt. The title says it all.

Scot Frasetto, Production Manager: Tom Sawyer by Rush…The drum beat in Tom Sawyer is my all time favorite played by the best drummer ever, Neil Peart.

Jay Grusznski, Director of Merchandise: Fuel - Metallica "Gimme fuel, gimme fire, gimme that which I desire"

Aaron Hahn, Assistant General Manager Audioslave - Doesn't Remind Me…Because it doesn't remind me of anything.

Chumley Hodgson, Assistant Director of Food & Beverage: Live Like You Were Dying by Tim McGraw.  I think the title says it all.

Seth Merrill, Group Sales Representative: Tough choice…At this moment I'd have to go with Tempest by Deftones

Ryan Moede, Box Office Manager: My walk-up song would be Cadillac by Mest.  This was the song that got me focused and ready during my high school sports career.

Ann Mollica, Creative Director: I'm going to go with Who Runs the World (Girls) - Beyonce

Rebecca Sievers, Group Sales Representative: Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus…it's got a great beat and pumps me up

Kevin Ross, Entertainment Coordinator: My song would have to be Live While We're Young by One Direction…My reason for choosing this song is because the song explains having fun and living life with no worries or regrets. That's how I live! And it's catchy as well!

Liz Wockenfus, Group Sales Representative:  I would like to go with Nicki Minaj's Super Bass for my walk up song. I've made this selection because it is an energetic, bubbly song that got me through many tarp pulls my first year here - it's so catchy!

I used to say that my own walkup song would be Behind Blue Eyes by The Who.  But, it has been pointed out that the song starts out too slow.  So, I have decided that Chris Mehring…Your American Hero…would use Kurt Angle's WWE Intro Music.  Great tune and it allows for something like this to happen*.

What would you pick for your walkup song?

Thank you for reading my offseason ramblings/therapy.  I look forward to seeing you at the newly renovated ballpark during a great 2013 season.
