FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The TinCaps are giving fans the unique opportunity to bid on authentic, game-worn jerseys. The team's home white pinstripe jerseys that have been used for the past eight seasons (starting in 2010) are available in an auction at TinCapsJersey.com. All proceeds from the jersey auction benefit the charitable TinCaps CARE program.

The mission of TinCaps CARE (Community, Activity, Recreation, and Education) is to give back to fans around the region through outreach programs, events, fundraising, and partnerships with local non-profit organizations. As an example, TinCaps CARE allows underprivileged members of the community to have the opportunity to attend a game at Parkview Field. During the 2017 season, through TinCaps CARE, more than 1,600 tickets were donated to 30-plus non-profits such as Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Boys & Girls Club.
Nearly every jersey available for auction has been worn by one or more prospects who've since gone on to make the major leagues, while other top prospects are still ascending their way through the Minors. Not to mention, some jerseys have been worn by TinCaps coaches, like Burt Hooton, who have big league experience. Information on who's worn each jersey (No. 1 through No. 35) is available at TinCapsJersey.com.

The auction is live and will conclude on Friday, Jan. 19 at 12 p.m. ET. Bidding for each jersey has begun at $100 and increases by $5 increments.
Coming off a trip to the Midwest League Championship Series in 2017, the TinCaps will take the field wearing new home jerseys for Opening Day 2018 at Parkview Field on Saturday, April 6 (6:05 p.m.) against the Lake County Captains (Cleveland Indians affiliate). A fireworks show will follow the game.
Season tickets and tickets for group outings are currently on sale. Fans can learn more at TinCaps.com or by calling 260-482-6400. Tickets for all games will go on sale Wednesday, Feb. 21.
