TinCaps Host National Anthem Auditions

Team Seeks Anthem Performers
February 19, 2014

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Fort Wayne TinCaps are looking for the best the Fort Wayne area has to offer to sing the National Anthem at Parkview Field this season! The TinCaps are seeking talented individuals, groups, and instrumentalists to fill out the 2014 schedule.

"National Anthem tryouts give us the chance to have a wide variety of talent represented throughout the season," TinCaps Director of Promotions and Community Relations Abby Naas said. "We are excited about this year's auditions to see what new and unique talent we can feature at Parkview Field."

This year the TinCaps are excited to announce a guest judge will be attending auditions. Jonathan Busarow, Fort Wayne Children's Choir Artistic Director, will help pick out Fort Wayne's best talent to open all 70 TinCaps home games. Jonathan is a faculty member at IPFW teaching voice lessons and directing the university choirs.

The team will hold tryouts during the coming weeks. To reserve an audition time, performers are encouraged to contact Jen Kastenholz at (260) 407-2809. The team is not accepting any walk-up auditions. There is no guarantee that every performer who tries out will be accepted to sing prior to a game this season.

National Anthem singers for a Fort Wayne TinCaps game do not receive monetary compensation, but they are given four (4) tickets to the game at which they sing and the chance to perform before a live audience at Parkview Field.

Tickets for the TinCaps' 2014 season are on sale now. Visit TinCaps.com or call (260) 482-6400 for more information.
