Celebrate Hessman entering the Hall of Fame

Mike Hessman became "The King" when he belted career minor league home run number 433 in a Mud Hens uniform on August 3, 2015. Join us at Fifth Third Field on Thursday, August 16 as Hessman will be inducted into the International League Hall of Fame during a pregame ceremony.

Hessman was part of the Mud Hens' back-to-back Governors' Cup championships in 2005 and 2006, and was named the 2007 IL Most Valuable Player. He played seven seasons in Toledo (2005-09, 2014-15). Best known for his hitting power, Hessman holds numerous minor league home run records:
   • Most career minor league home runs, 433
   • Most career IL home runs, 288
   • Most career Mud Hens home runs, 184
During the pregame IL Hall of Fame induction ceremony on August 16, Hessman will be added to the Mud Hens Hall of Fame wall, and the left field standing room area will be named "Hessman Home Run Alley".
Please note: we ask fans to arrive early and be in their seats for the start of the ceremony at approximately 6:40 p.m.

This limited pregame opportunity includes a meet and greet session with Mike Hessman in the Holy Toledo room from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. This is the only way to guarantee an autograph, as he'll be on the main concourse for a limited amount of time during the game. The pregame package includes an August 16 Mud Hens game ticket, a "Mystery" Hessman bobblehead, and the pregame meet and greet with Mike.
