DAYTONA BEACH, FL - The awards continued this week for the Daytona Tortugas, as first year President Ryan Keur was named Minor League Baseball Executive of the Year by Ballpark Digest Friday afternoon. It was the fourth different honor for Daytona over the last four days.
Keur wins the award following his first season in Daytona, a year that saw one of the best attendance jumps in Minor League Baseball. Daytona welcomed over 24,000 more fans through the gates compared to 2016.
Keur came to Daytona from the Burlington Royals, where he was named the Appalachian League Executive of the Year the previous three seasons.
"I want to thank our supportive ownership group for taking a chance and believing in the vision - our staff for all the innovation, dedication to re-energizing the culture of Tortugas Baseball. Most importantly, thanks to our fans and corporate partners that came out in droves all season long! We wouldn't be anywhere without our community and thankful for each and every person that walks out of our gates with an even bigger smile than they did walking in," Keur said.
