Philadelphia and New York Police Departments Meet As Part of All-Star Classic at ARM & HAMMER Park

The Thunder, presented by NJM Insurance, are thrilled to reveal additional details for the 2018 Eastern League All-Star Classic today. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase special All-Star Game ticket packages beginning on Monday, February 26.
Tuesday, July 10 will feature a special seven inning baseball game between the New York and Philadelphia Police Departments to raise money for the FOP Survivors Fund. Following the game, the Eastern League Home Run Derby, presented by Case's Pork Roll, will take place with top sluggers from the Eastern and Western Division All-Star Teams facing off. The night will be capped off with a special fireworks show.
"We're excited to have the Philadelphia Police Blue Sox and NYPD Finest kick off our All-Star Classic festivities," said Thunder GM/COO Jeff Hurley. "It's important to us to raise money for a great cause as part of our 25th Anniversary celebration."
Fans can purchase special All-Star Game Ticket packages beginning on Monday, February 26 by clicking here. Below are the packages that will by made available:
- Two-day pass (entry to both July 10 and July 11) - $30
- Two-day pass and special All-Star Game hat - $40
- Two-day pass and special All-Star Game t-shirt - $40
- Two-day pass and special All-Star Game hat and t-shirt - $50
Tickets to the game between the Blue Sox and NYPD Finest are available for $10 and all proceeds from ticket sales purchased through the FOP will benefit the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Survivors Fund. The Philadelphia Order of Police Survivors Fund is a non-profit organization that fundraises to provide financial assistance and support to the families of Philadelphia Police officers who have been injured or killed in the line of duty. The Survivors Fund was established not only to remember the sacrifice of each officer but also to acknowledge the sacrifice made by each of the surviving families.

2018 marks the fourth year that the Blue Sox and NYPD Finest have met at ARM & HAMMER Park. The annual game has raised more than $30,000 for the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Survivors Fund.
The Philadelphia Police Blue Sox baseball team is made up of law enforcement officers from Philadephia and surrounding areas. The Blue Sox have played and hosted a series of charity events throughout the year and are currently a member of the Police and Fire Baseball Congress Northeast Division where they compete in a national tournament every fall. New York Finest Baseball was established in 1994 and their roster is filled by members of law enforcement from New York City.
