The Tri-City Dust Devils and the Northwest League have released the schedule for the 2018 season. The Dust Devils will open on the road at Salem-Keizer on Friday, June 15th. Opening Night at Gesa Stadium will be Wednesday, June 20th versus the Spokane Indians. The Dust Devils regular season home finale will be on Friday, August 31st versus the Spokane Indians, with the regular season ending on Monday, September 3rd in Everett. Other highlights in 2018 will include the annual July 3rd game, seven Friday and six Saturday night games.

2018 will mark the fourth year of the Dust Devils affiliation with the San Diego Padres. The first year of that partnership proved to be a success as the Dust Devils were the 2015 NWL North Division Champions. In 2016 the Dust Devils saw three first round draft picks; Cal Quantrill (RHP), Hudson Potts (INF) and Eric Lauer (LHP). In 2017 the Dust Devils welcomed the second ranked international prospect, Adrian Morejon who helped the Dust Devils pitching staff break a 20 year Northwest League Strikeout Record of 724 total strikeouts (764). Right Handed Pitcher Ben Sheckler led the entire Northwest League with a 2.60 ERA.
The Northwest League vs. Pioneer League All-Star Game will return for the 2018 season. Last season the All-Star Game was hosted by the Hillsboro Hops and four Dust Devils were selected to represent the Northwest League. Outfielder Luis Asuncion was named the Most Valuable Player, with Right-Handed Pitchers Henry Henry getting the win and Jose Galindo earning the save. In 2018 the All-Star game will be hosted by the Grand Junction Rockies on Tuesday, August 7th. The All-Star Game pits the top talent from the eight-team Pioneer League against the best players from the eight-team Northwest League.
The Dust Devils play in the Northwest League North division along with the Everett AquaSox, Spokane Indians, and Vancouver Canadians. The South division is comprised of the Boise Hawks, Eugene Emeralds, Hillsboro Hops, and Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. Teams play in-division opponents 12 times each and out-of-division opponents 10 times each.
Once again the Northwest League season will be divided into a first half, which ends July 23rd, and a second half which ends September 3rd. The winners of each 38-game half in each division advance to the Northwest League playoffs.
2017 saw 86,461 fans enjoying a Dust Devils baseball game during the season. Fans are encouraged to secure their seats early by purchasing a ticket package. Mini plans of 7, 14, or 21 games feature the biggest nights at Gesa Stadium, including all Friday and Saturday night games.
