In a seesaw affair at Avista Stadium on Saturday night the Tri-City Dust Devils (17-35) fell 8-5 to the Spokane Indians. An impressive late rally by the Dust Devils was overshadowed by a six-run output from the Indians in the bottom of the eighth inning.

The Dust Devils delivered that the plate after entering the top of the seventh inning trailing by two runs. Tri-City brought home a pair of runs in the seventh and added three more in the eighth to take a three-run edge. The lead did not last, as Spokane secured the come-from-behind win after touching up the Dust Devils’ bullpen in the eighth inning.

Home runs were again a factor in the series. Despite the loss, both Brendon Davis and Francisco Del Valle hit solo homers, with Davis crushing his league-high 11th blast in the eighth inning.

The six-game series will come to an end on Sunday night. First pitch is set for 7:05pm at Avista Stadium. Right-hander Cristopher Molina will toe the rubber for the Dust Devils in the series finale, while Spokane will counter with right-hander Will Ethridge.
