The Tri-City Dust Devils (42-62) lost 7-5 to the Spokane Indians on Wednesday night at Avista Stadium. Despite trailing by as many as five runs, the Dust Devils rallied to bring the go-ahead run to the plate in the top of the ninth inning before ultimately coming up short.

Tri-City starter Sam Bachman ran into trouble early, surrendering four runs in the first inning and one more in the second. The long ball helped to bring the Dust Devils back within striking distance. Braxton Martinez had a solo shot and Adrian Rondon hit a two-run blast in the game. Martinez and Griffin Mazur both had impressive nights at the plate, with each producing three hits.

Right-hander Glenn Albanese will toe the rubber the Dust Devils in the third matchup of the road series on Thursday. The Indians will counter with right-hander Will Ethridge.
