Hunt Provides Pivotal Hit

A late rally boosted the Tri-City Dust Devils (9-13, 27-33) to the 6-4 win on Saturday at Gesa Stadium over the Everett AquaSox (10-12, 30-30). Blake Hunt's RBI double in the bottom of the eighth inning allowed Tri-City to take their first lead since the second inning.
After a seesaw start to the game, the Dust Devils' pitching staff got into a grove. Angel Acevedo, Jonathan Guzman and Diomar Lopez combined to retire 17 straight Everett batters beginning in the top of the fourth inning. Guzman notched the win in relief and Lopez picked up his first save of the year. Michael Curry had a standout night at the plate in the victory for Tri-City, finishing the game with three hits.
Left-hander Ramon Perez will start the middle game of the three-game series on Saturday night. The AquaSox will counter with left-hander Michael Plassmeyer. There will be a postgame fireworks show presented by HiLine Engineering & Fabrication.
