An excellent start from Zach Linginfelter was not enough on Saturday night at Gesa Stadium as the Tri-City Dust Devils (14-26) lost 2-1 in 10 innings to the Spokane Indians. Linginfelter got a no-decision after tossing seven scoreless innings for Tri-City.

The game ended up being a pitchers’ duel, with neither team scoring in the first nine innings. Spokane was able to breakthrough in the top of the 10th inning, scoring two runs off Tri-City reliever Erick Julio. The Dust Devils rallied to score one run in the bottom of the 10th, but the comeback bid ultimately fell just short.

The six-game series will come to an end on Sunday night. First pitch on Father’s Day is set for 6:05 pm at Gesa Stadium. Right-hander Dylan King will toe the rubber for the Dust Devils in the series finale, while the Indians will counter with left-hander Chris McMahon.
