In front of 3,096 fans at Gesa Stadium Wednesday night the Tri-City Dust Devils (3-3) beat the Spokane Indians 5-2. Starting pitcher Angel Acevedo earned his first win of the season after tossing five scoreless innings.
A big bottom of the second inning at the plate gave the Dust Devils all the runs they would end up needing. After the team loaded the bases with no outs, Mason House promptly unloaded the bases, driving in three runs with a double. Justin Paulsen and Blake Hunt each made valuable contributions in the victory. Paulsen had three hits and Hunt scored three runs for Tri-City.
The Dust Devils will send right-hander Henry Henry to the mound in the middle game of the three-game series on Thursday night. Spokane will counter with right-hander Hans Crouse. Tomorrow will be Dollars in Your Dog Night at Gesa Stadium. Fans that purchase a hot dog will have the chance to win up to $100.
