Opening Day Virtual Celebration

TROY, NY – On Wednesday, June 24th, the ValleyCats present the #OpeningDayAtHome, an interactive campaign to celebrate what would have been the ‘Cats Opening Night. The ‘Cats are asking the help of our fans to join in on the fun as we celebrate on social media and at the ballpark

TROY, NY – On Wednesday, June 24th, the ValleyCats present the #OpeningDayAtHome, an interactive campaign to celebrate what would have been the ‘Cats Opening Night. The ‘Cats are asking the help of our fans to join in on the fun as we celebrate on social media and at the ballpark all day long!

A slate of activities is scheduled for this Wednesday, June 24th to celebrate what would have been the ‘Cats Opening Day. Check out the list of activities below with the kickoff beginning at 10am.

The Day’s Online Schedule of Events:

10am - Virtual "Welcome to The Joe"

11am - Gear up for the Game

12pm - Did Someone Say Lunch?

1pm - Ceremonial First Pitches

2pm - NY's 529 Puzzle Challenge

3pm - "Take Me Out to the Ballgame"

4pm - Hot Dog Race!

5pm - Launch-A-Ball Contest

6pm - Virtual "Gates Open"

7pm - National Anthem by 2020 Audition Winner - Anna P. of East Greenbush, "Playball" & Video Highlights

You’ve asked and we’ve answered! Join us on Wednesday, June 24th at “The Joe” to throw out your own first pitch! For $30 you and one lucky catcher can join us at the ballpark to show us your skills on the diamond. Wrap up the event with a photo on the field taken by a ValleyCats staff member. Interested parties must bring their own baseball and catcher’s mitt. One first pitch per group and face masks are required. To reserve your time slot CLICK HERE!
