The Tulsa Drillers returned to action Tuesday night opening up a four-game series against the Arkansas Travelers in North Little Rock. The Travelers had a big three-run fourth inning, and that is all they needed in a 3-1 win.
This is the last regular season series that the first-place Drillers will play against the first-half winning Travelers.
The game remained scoreless until Arkansas struck first in the bottom of the fourth. A leadoff walk to Eric Fillia, and a double off the bat of Dario Pizzano put runners in scoring position with just one away. The Travs capitalized as the next batter Kyle Lewis, Seattle's number one prospect per MLB.com, hit his second home run of  the season on the first pitch to put the Travelers up 3-0.
The Drillers answered back in the top half of the sixth when a lead off double by Gavin Lux was followed by a wild pitch. This set up a sacrifice fly off the bat of Keibert Ruiz to cut the lead to 3-1.
Tulsa starter Ben Holmes continued his success since joining the Drillers. He once again produced a quality start, giving up only three runs on four hits while striking out six Travs.
Layne Somsen and Andrew Istler combined for two hitless and scoreless innings out of the bullpen, only allowing one runner to reach via a walk.
The Arkansas bullpen would also come in and end the offense as Matt Tenuta and David Mckay struck out five Drillers in just two innings to end the night with the Travelers winning 3-1.
