High school baseball at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium to benefit Coaches vs. Cancer
Friday Night Lights doubleheaders will serve as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society

TROY, NY- The Tri-City ValleyCats announced on Tuesday that they have teamed up with Coaches vs. Cancer of the American Cancer Society to host the 5th Annual Friday Night Lights series, featuring three consecutive Friday night high school baseball doubleheaders at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium in Troy.
Friday Night Lights kicks off on April 21 with Shaker taking on Mohonasen at 4:00 p.m., followed by Albany Academy vs. La Salle Institute at 7:00 p.m.
On April 28, Cohoes will face Watervliet at 4:00 p.m., and Shenendehowa will take on Columbia at 7:00 p.m.
UPDATE: Rain has forced the 7pm game on May 5 between Schenectady and Niskayuna to be moved to Saturday, May 6, 4pm at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium.
A recognition will take place prior to each game, with ceremonial first pitches being thrown out by members of the school community who have been affected by cancer.
General admission tickets are available for $5.00, and can be purchased through the participating schools, or on the day of the game at the Joseph L. Bruno Stadium Box Office.
Proceeds from tickets sold by the schools in advance will benefit Coaches vs. Cancer, and those tickets sold at the box office on the day of the game will benefit 'Cats Care and the NYPL Charitable Foundation.
If necessary, rain dates will be on the succeeding Saturday in the same time slots.
