(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, B.C.) - A solo home run from 1B Geoandry Montilla off Canadians starter RHP Randy Pondler was the only run producing offense of the night as the Everett Aquasox topped Vancouver 1-0 in front of a sold-out Scotiabank Field on Thursday night.
The Canadians (2-5) pitching was dominant once again as outside of the lone blemish on Ponder's six innings of work, the tandem of RHP Orlando Pascual (2.0IP) and RHP Connor Law (1.0IP) kept the Aquasox offense at bay allowing Vancouver bats the chance to win in the bottom of the 9th inning.  CF Tanner Kirwer smacked a leadoff single in the Canadians final effort and managed to get to third base but with the tying run just 90-feet away, DH Reilly Johnson would ground out to end the game helping Everett improve to 4-3 (.571).
Note:  The loss marks the third time this week that the Canadians were shutout as twice in Eugene (6-15 & 6-18) Vancouver fell 2-0 to the Emeralds.
