Additionally, trades and roster moves happen as well and players can bounce around between teams, levels and cities. Here's a look at 10 former recent Vancouver Canadians and where they are now:
After an injury-filled 2018 season, Nate Pearson is still the top-pitching prospect and third prospect overall in the Toronto Blue Jays organization. The right-hander is currently pitching for the Dunedin Blue Jays of the Florida State League (Advanced Single-A), where he's 2-0 with a 1.29 ERA and 20 strikeouts through four starts. Pearson won the Northwest League Championship with the Canadians in 2017.
Cavan Biggio, son of former Major Leaguer Craig Biggio is currently the ninth-overall prospect in the Blue Jays organization and fifth among second baseman prospects in baseball. The second baseman is crushing the ball in his first season for the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons as he's batting .400 in 14 games with two home runs, five RBIs and more walks (9) than strikeouts (8). He has also been learning to play everywhere as he's played at first base early this season and played games in the outfield during Spring Training. Biggio played for the Canadians in 2016.
Catcher Riley Adams is currently enjoying some success to start the 2019 season for the Dunedin Blue Jays (Advanced Single-A). In 12 games, he's batting .324 with three doubles, two home runs and eight RBIs. Riley had a big year with the Canadians during the 2017 Championship campaign.
Ryan Borucki made his Major League debut for the Toronto Blue Jays last season and proved he was there to stay. In 17 starts with the big club, the left-hander finished 4-6 with a 3.87 ERA. Scheduled to be a part of the pitching rotation this year, Borucki has been battling injuries and his currently on the Blue Jays 60-day injured reserve. The Illinois native pitched for the Canadians in 2014 and 2015.
Shortstop Logan Warmoth is currently in his third season in the Toronto Blue Jays organization, playing for Advanced Single-A Dunedin with Nate Pearson and Riley Adams. He batted .248 in 75 games for Dunedin last season with 28 RBIs. One of the Jays two first-round draft picks in 2017, Warmoth played for the Canadians in that same year. In the championship-clinching game that year, he drove in the game winning run.
Right-hander T.J. Zeuch is the 14th overall prospect currently in the Blue Jays organization but has not made an appearance yet in 2019 because of injuries. Between time with Dunedin and New Hampshire (Double-A), Zeuch went 12-8 with a 3.17 ERA in 2018. Zeuch started six games for the Canadians in 2016, going 0-1 with a 3.52 ERA.
Kacy Clemens, son of former Major Leaguer Roger Clemens, is currently playing for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Blue Jays Double-A affiliate. In 13 games, he's batting .227 with six RBIs. The first baseman helped lead the 2017 Vancouver Canadians to the Northwest League Championship.

Former Toronto Blue Jays prospect Travis Bergen is currently pitching in his first season in the Major Leagues for the San Francisco Giants. The left-hander is 2-0 in nine games out of the bullpen for the Giants this year. Bergen battled injuries the past few seasons but pitched for the Vancouver Canadians in 2015, 2016 and contributed during the playoff run in 2017.
Middle infielder Franklin Barreto is currently playing for the Las Vegas Aviators (AAA) in the Oakland Athletics organization. In 16 games, he's batting just .197 but half of his hits have gone for extra bases. The 23-year old spent time in the big leagues with Oakland in 2017 and 2018, batting .215 with seven home runs and 22 RBIs in 58 career games. Barreto put himself in the Canadians' record books during the 2014 season as he collected 90 hits, 23 doubles and scored 65 runs, all single-season team records.
