TROY, NY --- Monday afternoon's season finale for the Vermont Lake Monsters and Tri-City ValleyCats was postponed due to rain, ending the New York-Penn League season for both teams.

TROY, NY --- Monday afternoon's season finale for the Vermont Lake Monsters and Tri-City ValleyCats was postponed due to rain, ending the New York-Penn League season for both teams.

The Lake Monsters finish the year with a 33-42 record, the fifth 33-win season in the last eight years for Vermont (33-43 in 2012, 2013 and 2014, while 33-42 in 2015 and 2019).
Jordan Diaz, the team's Tom Racine MVP award winner, finishes the season hitting .264 with nine homers (tied for 3rd in league) and 47 RBI, which still leads the NYPL by one over Nic Ready of Batavia. Diaz will also finish in the league's top five in hits (73), total bases (119) and tied with teammate Kevin Richards with 17 doubles.
First-round pick Logan Davidson will finish fourth in the NYPL with 42 runs scored, including a league best 38 runs since July 14th. Richard Morban finishes seventh in the league with a 2.67 ERA and ninth with 69 strikeouts, while Jose Mora ends second in NYPL with 12 saves (league-best seven saves since August 1st).
Vermont will return to action in 289 days when they open the 2020 season at historic Centennial Field against the Tri-City ValleyCats.
