LAKE ELSINORE, CA - The Rawhide went quietly in the top of the first inning and, from that point on, the Storm were in the driver's seat.

Lake Elsinore (42-45/8-9) scored seven runs on seven hits in the first, including three doubles, a triple, and a three-run homer by Chris Baker. The Storm added on four more in the third and one more in the eighth to tally a 12-1 win.

The bulk of the runs came off of Tyler Keele (L, 2-1), who failed to last through the third inning for the first time while starting for the Rawhide. Keele surrendered a career-high nine runs on a season-high nine hits while walking two and striking out one. He departed after a two-run double by Allen Cordoba in the third.

The Storm clubbed ten extra-base hits, the most against the Rawhide in any game this year. The eleven-run margin of defeat and seven-run inning in the first were both also season-highs for Visalia (45-42/8-9).

Nick Margevicius shone after being staked to a huge lead early. Margevicius (W, 1-0) tossed six shutout innings while holding the Rawhide to four hits and striking out three in his Storm debut. He had at least one baserunner in each of his final five innings, but he used four double play balls to keep the Visalia offense quiet.

The lone Rawhide run came in the top of the eighth, when Hernandez reached with one out on a fielding error by third baseman Ruddy Giron. Adam Walton followed with a bloop double to right and Hernandez scored on a single by Luis Alejandro Basabe.

But then, in context with the rest of the game, Marcus Wilson grounded into an inning-ending double play: the season-high fifth double play of the game against the Rawhide.

Luis Alejandro put up the only multi-hit performance of the night for Visalia and drove home one while Walton added the double and made back-to-back jaw-dropping plays at shortstop to mitigate the damage in the eighth inning.

The Rawhide have now lost four games in a row for just the third time this season and will look to bounce back tomorrow night in the series finale. The Rawhide will send RHP Matt Peacock (2-0, 2.25) to the hill against Storm RHP Emmanuel Ramirez (4-2, 4.93). First pitch will be at 5:00 PM and the live radio broadcast will be available on Rawhidebaseball.com.
