MODESTO, CA - Trailing 3-2 with just two hits heading into the top of the seventh, the Rawhide staged a four-run rally to come back against Modesto and win the series opener at John Thurman Field, 6-3.

Dominic Miroglio led off the inning with an infield single in front of the plate that Modesto pitcher Danny Garcia threw away into the right field corner. Miroglio advanced to third on the play and, off the bat, the Rawhide had the tying run at third.
With the infield drawn in, Mark Karavitois punched a two-strike single through the right side to score Miroglio and tie the game up at three. The floodgates opened from there for the Rawhide.
Ryan Grotjohn followed with a single and, after Stephen Smith struck out, Marcus Wilson hit a line-drive double into left to plate both Karaviotis and Grotjohn, giving Visalia their first lead of the game, 5-3.
Two pitches later, Camden Duzenack muscled a single into dead center to score Wilson and put the Rawhide on top 6-3.
Junior Garcia and Jordan Watson locked down the seventh and eighth innings respectively, setting up Tommy Eveld to close out the ninth. Eveld (SV, 4) made it interesting, walking Tyler Baker and surrendering a two-out double to Luis Liberato, but he retired Donny Walton on a pop-out to short to end the game, stranding runners at second and third.
Neither starter factored into the decision as Tyler Keele delivered five innings for the Rawhide, allowing three runs on six hits with three walks and three strikeouts. Reggie McClain held a no-hitter until the fourth inning and gave up two runs on two hits with a career-high four walks and three strikeouts.
Randall Delgado (W, 2-0) pitched a scoreless inning on rehab assignment from the Arizona Diamondbacks and Garcia (L, 0-5) was responsible for all four Rawhide runs in the seventh inning.
Karaviotis put up a two-hit game with a double and three RBIs. Miroglio reached safely four times as he was plunked, collected two infield singles, and walked.
Modesto (25-33) received a three-hit game from Luis Liberato, who put up a pair of doubles and a triple, and Nick Zamarelli hit a solo home run in the second.
Tonight was the fifth time this season that Visalia (30-28) has made a comeback to win when trailing after six innings, and was just the second time they have done so on the road. With 12 games remaining in the first half, the Rawhide trail first-place Stockton by six games. The magic number for the Ports sits at 7 games.
The Rawhide look to secure a series win tomorrow and will send RHP Kevin McCanna (3-1, 3.15) to the hill against Modesto LHP Colin Rodgers (1-2, 5.04). First pitch is at 7:05 PM and the live radio broadcast will be available on rawhidebaseball.com.
